My Study Strategies

1.

I study in noise and distraction free zones.

2.

I take breaks as I am studying to give myself time to process the

material.

3.

I study during the times that I am most alert and awake.

4.

I set mini study goals for myself as I study such as, “In the next hour, I

will memorize a determined number of terms.”

5.

I study for a minimum of

two

hours for every

one

hour that I attend

class.

6.

I begin studying the subjects that give me the most difficulty first.

My Time Management Skills

1.

I keep track of my upcoming assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects

on a calendar.

2.

I use my school’s resources to help me handle busy times during the

course term.

3.

I typically complete my work well before the due date.

4.

I create lists of things I need to accomplish for any given day or week.

5.

I rarely procrastinate.

6.

I feel I am well balanced in terms of school, rest, work and social/

family obligations.

My Motivation

1.

I have no problem focusing during study time.

2.

I have no problem beginning a project.

3.

I do

not

have problems telling friends and family that I can’t

attend

social events when I need to work on school projects.

4.

I have no problem staying on task while in the middle of a project.

5.

I often ask questions while participating in projects or completing

difficult assignments.

I have both short and long-term goals regarding my future.
