Smart employees understand that they need a
network of professionals to help them navigate life after college. Find
a mentor within your organization that can help you position yourself
within
the organization. Choose a mentor that is successful and who
has the time
to spend with you. SCORE is an organization made up of
retired executives who mentor up and coming employees at no cost.
Find a financial advisor.
Not everyone is an expert in investment
programs. A financial advisor can show you the pros and cons of
different investment
strategies. They can also share the tradeoffs of
focusing on retirement
savings versus paying off any debt rapidly.
