“My purpose is to inspire and empower others to find their
career calling and achieve a life filled with balance and
happiness. I assist others to fulfill their dreams through my
speeches, workshops, radio and television appearances, and
practical personal growth books. I believe we are all born to
do something extraordinary; my life’s work is to make certain
this occurs for every person or organization with whom
I interface.” –Chris Kuselias

Your career and everything you do should be an expression of your purpose.
I do not wish for you to end up like many, wandering generalities unsure of
their purpose or passion and working in a job without a clue as to why they are
doing it. Be mindful of the “Is this all there is?” syndrome. As you have learned,
it is important, almost essential to have felt a yearning or a void, a sense of
emptiness that will motivate you to pursue your rightful place in the world, a
place where you can exhibit your unique and compelling gifts and
contributions. Without a strong enough motivation, often we are complacent
and miss an opportunity for greatness.
Your objective is not to accumulate “stuff” to validate your success. If you
want a possession, make sure your motives are because you truly want it and
not because you feel it will validate your accomplishments to others. Trust me,
most people don’t really care. Gradually people come to the realization that
collecting material things is
not
fulfilling.
At some level we all hunger for greater purpose and meaning in our lives.
We need to feel in our heart and souls that we matter, that we are making
a difference to others, that we are leaving the world a better place. It is an
empty feeling to merely take, to exist; there is so much more to life. Adopting a
belief system that puts passion and purpose first provides an opportunity to
inspire others, by leaving your mark and contributions in a positive,
unforgettable way. Be memorable, be unforgettable!
