My Perception

There is also a

linear perspective

, which is the idea that lines

coincide as they fade into the distance.

Interposition

is when objects overlap one another and causes

the viewer to believe that one object is further away.

This picture of modern day Dubai, India shows us a perfect example of

linear perspective

. In this picture, we see train tracks. As the tracks

disappear into the distance, they seem to be converging.

Even though they appear to cross, logic tells us this cannot be true. If

the tracks were to actually cross, what would happen? Chaos!

Are you starting to see how our perception of things can be deceiving?
