Write your name on a blank piece of paper, and from that form little

branches or clusters of your immediate family; then from that add your

secondary family, until you get to your 3rd cousins. Next, list your friends or

professionals or work associates, neighbors, your doctor, your dentist, people

you’ve come to know, your former professors or teachers, the people who

you’ve met through friends or a friend of a friend, and people you’ve met at

social events. By creating this tree diagram, you’ll find that you know a great

many people.

Take a look at the sample diagram below. Create your own visual

representation of your personal network. You can use a graph, a tree, or

anything else that comes to mind. Get creative and include as many

contacts as possible.
