Your outlook is now bright and you should feel energized by your newfound
knowledge and potential. You have the competitive edge! Your dreams will become
reality. Quoting Eleanor Roosevelt, “The future belongs

of their dreams.”
As mentioned earlier, most people change occupations several times during their lives.
Job changes usually occur more frequently when career seekers are young. Generally,
men tend to remain in occupations longer than women, college graduates longer than
people with less education, full-time workers longer than people who are part-time
workers, and self-employed people longer than individuals who collect wages or a salary.
If you do decide to change careers, always leave a job on positive terms. You never know
when you will need a good reference or recommendation. Leaving a job can be
emotionally difficult. But, again, focus on the positive aspects of your new status.
Go to work with a smile on your face. And remember to be loyal to your employer. That
doesn’t mean loyal to the degree that you can never leave if things aren’t working out
your way or you’re unhappy. But whether you are in a position 1 day, 2 days, 10 years, 20
years, be loyal to your employer. They deserve your best until you leave!
If you have an entrepreneurial drive, be smart and surround yourself with quality mentors.
Starting a new business is difficult, but if you have a passion for your product or service,
you have the essential ingredient already. If you decide that a franchise is where your
career calling lies, do your homework and obtain testimonials from other franchise owners.
At the risk of sounding sappy or like I am preaching, be sure to act polite and decent to
every person who assists you, coaches you or inspires you.
